The Best Photo Album Apps For IOS

02:58

If you use your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad to view and store most of your photos (and why wouldn’t you, when they look so great on Apple’s retina displays?) then you may find the basic camera roll feature doesn’t give you the options you want in terms of organising and storing your images. While it’s great for flicking through pictures you’ve just taken to choose which to keep, it doesn’t offer much by way of filtering, searching or organising the pictures. So, by the time you have accumulated a hundred or so photos of all your special moments (and probably quite a few of food), you may want to upgrade to something a bit more feature rich.

Luckily, help is at hand with these great photo album apps for iOS.

Photo Manager Pro

Photo Manager Pro, which costs $2.99 on the App Store, is a really good photo management app that not only lets you easily structure and organize your images, but also offers convenient and easy ways to transfer your picture albums and libraries to other devices. This app is incredibly useful, and you’ll wonder how you managed without it once you get into the habit of managing your photo libraries using it. It also features a great slideshow feature for when you want to look at your pictures in full screen mode.

Photo-Sort

At $1.99 on the App Store, Photo-Sort is a good value, intuitive option if you want something that offers basic photo management and won’t require you to spend ages learning loads of different menu options and features. It helps you manage photos in the logical file structures you want, and exports things very simply so you know exactly what is being saved where. It can also be used to manage your video files, which makes it doubly useful.

IAlbum

If you want a truly professional experience with the best presentation of any iOS photo album app, then iAlbum is the app you need. It is considerably more expensive than the other apps on the list, with the full HD version coming in at $24.99, the regular version at $9.99, and a few other versions offering different features available at price points in between the two, though you can download a “Lite” version for $1.99 to test it out and see if you want to invest in the full version.

iAlbum is, according to its creators, designed for professional photographers, but it offers such a beautiful interface that anyone who uses the camera on their device can get a lot of enjoyment out of it, even just for organising and displaying kids photo albums. It offers a wide range of feature rich display options, and the combination of its stunning design with the retina display technology on the latest iPad and iPhone models will give you possibly the best way to look at your photographs possible! It also features great sharing features, to help you display pictures between devices and show them to friends.

With one of these great apps, you can have an easy way to organise your image and video libraries and display your pictures, whatever your budget!
